Symetri Named Interactive Partner for Hanes Hosiery

September 22, 2000, High Point, North Carolina - Symetri has been signed as an interactive partner for Hanes Hosiery, a division of Sara Lee whose headquarters are located in Winston Salem, North Carolina. The Hanes Hosiery website, haneshosiery.com, has been undergoing a significant creative update, a process begun in June of this year and will be visible online in mid-October.

Working closely with Sara Lee Hosiery's marketing management, Symetri is not only programming the site, they are providing technical perspective about the design of haneshosiery.com and developing interactive components to support the new creative look of the site being provided by a New York-based agency. Hanes Hosiery will use the new user registration feature that Symetri has designed and built to build one-to-one relationships with the users of Hanes legwear products.

Leslie Morgan, e-commerce manager for Sara Lee, expressed the importance of the role that Symetri is playing in this effort, "The Internet is an increasingly important channel for Hanes Hosiery. We wanted the site to become more dynamic, more interactive and easier for consumers to use and shop. To achieve those objectives, we needed a savvy technical partner to help us make a stronger statement with Hanes Hosiery online. Symetri is that partner."

Morgan added, "Symetri has already contributed well beyond the scope of their proposal. They are not only programming the site, they are going a step further to build in a custom capability that will allow brand managers to make day-to-day changes to the site. This is very important in a business where we are constantly introducing new styles and discontinuing old ones."
